To point your domain to your nameservers, you have again to go to your domain registrar and log in to your account. Usually there are two name servers are there like ns1: your webhost.com and ns2: your webhost. com.
After logging in your account, go to domain management area where you can see the DNS settings ( Domain Name Server settings) in which two blank spaces can be seen. There you have to fill your name servers that you have been given at the time of purchasing.
By doing this, your Domain can be pointed to your Web hosting server and since then your server starts hosting your site. But one thing you keep in your mind is that upto 24 or 48 hours or to a great extent 72 hours from the time your domain is pointed to the name servers, your domain cannot be detected by search engines.
The reason behind it is that your domain is to be propagated into the internet. This period is known as domain propagation period. But you can visit your site and post files with the temporary URL the web hosting account provided to you.
After the propagation period your site can be visited by anybody from anywhere by using the permanent URL . Eg. www.yourdomain.com. In the meantime you can post files in your site. But for doing that a Content Management System (CMS) should be installed in your site.
